I bid you good morning once again! This time I would like to share a card which I made for my nephew, Luke. As you know, I find men’s cards a trifle difficult but I know this is something many of us crafters encounter! This is totally different to my usual style, so be prepared guys!
Luke’s card measures 8″x8″ and is presented on a scalloped base. The paper is from g.c.d. Melody Ross, The Lydia Collection. There isn’t very much on this card but I have matted and layered two rectangles and behind these, one to the left and the other to the right, I have placed Spellbinders Eyelet Circles die. I merely tied some knots from orange ribbon and looped them through the lefthand die cut. The picture is taken from Roald Dahl’s Digikit Collection 2, I made a frame for this little chap by cutting one Spellbinders circle die inside the other I then mounted him on one of the dies from the Spellbinders Whirl About die set. I typed up my own little sentiment and matted and layered it onto a thin strip. The subtle amber gems (I thought I might just get away with a total of 6!!) are from my own collection. Love and hugs Annie xx
Hi All! Hope you are all looking forward to your weekend! Today I am going to share a wedding card which I have made, it is a commissioned card but who knows, it may land up being made by some of the crafty ladies in one of the groups if they like it!
This card measures 8×8 and is basically an easel card except that I have turned it on its side instead! By way of a change (not!!) the papers are Maja Design. The cardstock is from my stash as is the heart shaped pearl. I have used several Tattered Lace dies, in the corner I have used the Studley Corner and I cut the heart out of the Chantilly Heart corner die and placed it beneath the oval die from the Kew collection. On top of this, I cut out a Spellbinders Lacey Oval die in pink. I typed the special wedding wording which I had been asked for and cut this out using an oval frame from Joy Crafts. The flowers are cut from Marianne Creatables, English Rose. The white leafy swirl is Cheery Lynn’s Mini Flourish One and finally, the leaves are punched from EM Punches, Leone Ash Branch. Below is another photograph of this card, showing the matching box. See you again before very long, take care, hugs Annie xx
And Good Morning to you all. Another wet morning with no sign of any sunshine! Today I have a card which my Wednesday ladies are going to be offered as their make tomorrow. I do hope they will enjoy making it.
The card measures a total length of 42cms (it’s a full length of A3 card) x 20cm. The central section is 16.5cms and the sides are 12.5cms wide but have been scored in half and mountain folded to form “side flaps”. The border is punched using EK Success’ Flower Burst Edger Punch. The flowers are Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch die and stamp set. The swirls have been cut from Marianne’s Tiny’s Flower 3, I merely snipped the flower off and used the swirls. The central topper is made up by die cutting the large oval from Spellbinders Ovals, I then layered the large oval die from Tattered Lace’s Sparkle collection on this, followed by another Spellbinders Oval in mauve and finally I printed the sentiment on white card and cut it out using Marianne’s Anja’s Vintage Frame die. The paper is Maja Design and the pearls and ribbon are from my own collection. See you all again soon! Hugs Annie xx
Good Afternoon Everyone! I hope that you have all had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend. Such a wet day today mind you, I hope that you haven’t had as much as we have here in Essex. Today’s card and box were made for Jade, a young friend mine to give to her special friend Nathalie. This card is different from my usual style as it includes a photograph therefore, this has become the focal point. I hope you like it, my friend Jade was delighted.
The card base is scalloped and measures 8″x8″. I have mat and layered green and pale blue cardstock. The pale blue cardstock has been embossed with Sue Wilson’s (Creative Expressions) Heart Lattice folder. The large circle, which has been cut from dark green card is again Sue Wilson’s (Creative Expressions) Italian Collection, Decorative Frames. The heart border is made using a Martha Stewart punch. The swirl is from Doohickey Dies, Leaf & Swirl. The leaves are a selection from Tattered Lace, namely, Hosta, Fiddlehead Fern and Foxgloves. The flowers are fashioned used Marianne’s Chinese Rose die. The heart I have used on the box is Heartfelt Timeless Amour. The ribbons and pearls are from my own crafty collection. All the best everyone, hugs for now, Annie xx
Good Morning, hoping all is well in your world on this Friday morning. Here in Essex it’s a little cooler but we can cope with that!! It’s not raining and the sun is in the sky. I have a Man Card to share with you this morning, I made this for a friend of mine last weekend. I struggled, as ever, trying to make it a celebration card as Joe was 60 but not overdoing it on the embellishments, not sure if I managed it or not!!!!!!
This card measures 8″x8″. The card is from Papermill and the papers are Maja Design. I have used Cheery Lynn’s Chicken Wire die for some texture on the bottom half of the card and on the topper layer. I punched a border using EK Success Calligraphy Scroll and ran this along the top edge of the Chicken Wire die. The sentiment has been typed and printed out and then die cut using one of the frames from Creative Expressions, Californian Collection, Decorative Frames (Set B). Beneath this I have used Marianne Creatables Flower Doiley. I then cut a circle from the teal coloured card, using Spellbinders Circles and placed it behind the doily to enhance the “laciness”. The teal leaves are cut from Marianne Creatables Leaves, the brown leaves are Marianne Decorative Elegance the white “pointy” fronds are cut from the small die that accompanies Anja’s Large Oval and the swirls are Cheery Lynn’s Mini Flourish. I have added a metal flower and placed a teal pearl in the centre, these items together with the ribbon are from my own crafty stash. See you all again very soon my friends, hugs Annie xx
Good Afternoon All, after several weeks of busy-ness and not being able to card make, I am delighted to be back and now offer you this card which will be for my Wednesday ladies this week.
This card measures a whopping 24.5cm x 19.5cm. The card is from Papermill and the papers are Magnolia and Maja Design. The border strip is Creative Expressions, Sue Wilson’s Californian Collection. The leaves are also from the same range, Creative Expressions, Finishing Touches. The flowers are Heartfelt Vintage Floret, together with the matching stamps. The white lacy bottom layer on the topper, which I have also used twice on the righthand side of the topper as an accent, is Spellbinders A2 Tranquil Moments. The grey layer beneath the sentiment is once again from Creative Expressions, Sue Wilson’s Californian Collection, Decorative Frames (Set B) and finally, the sentiment is stamped on Spellbinders, Labels 32. I have added some curled strips and the pearls and ribbon are from my own collection. I hope you enjoy this card, see you very soon one and all, take care! Hugs, Annie xx
Hello All! Hope you have something lovely happening today, the sun is out at the moment but I think our day is shortly going to be rather wet 🙁 The card I have for you today was one which the ladies did here a few weeks ago now. I just didn’t get round to posting it at the time unfortunately – so here it is now! I have given you 3 views as it is a tri-fold card and I wanted you to see whats on the inside and the righthand flap too.
The entire piece of card measures 42cm x 18cm and I have folded it into 3. The card is from Papermill and the papers are Maja Road, all the corners were trimmed with a corner punch. The topper on the front of the card is made up using one of the dies from Spellbinders Enchanted Labels 28 followed by the largest die in the set from Marianne, Petra, Small Ovals die. The sentiment die is stamped onto an oval from Spellbinders Nestabilities, I then die cut two corner dies from Spellbinders Decorative Butterfly/Border die set and “hugged” them around the oval sentiment. The flowers are cut from Marianne Branch & Flower 1 die set and I have used the branch from the same set, behind the flowers. The swirls drizzled across the flowers are cut from a bow die from Memory Box, the little butterflies which are dotted around are a Martha Stewart punch. The border and bow are from Creative Expressions, Filigree 3D Bow. There is a reduced selection of dies on the centre and back panels but they are all as listed above, the only additional die is the bar die which I have used beneath the Filigree Border, this is from Spellbinders Ironworks Motifs. The pearls are from my own collection. Hope you like it guys! All for now, hugs Annie xx
Morning!! The card I have to share with you today was made for my dear brother, whose birthday was yesterday, 2nd June. No prizes for guessing Richard is into his cycling, he has cycled many miles on his racing bike, including London to Paris for charity. I love my brother dearly and was only too delighted to make him a be-fitting birthday card. As all you card makers will know, it’s not very easy as he needs a dreaded “man card” ……eeeeek!
This card measures a cool 20mm x 20mm. The black and red card is from my Papermill collection and the papers are Dreamies. There aren’t too many dies used in this card (as it’s a man’s card!!), I have used one of the dies from Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles for the picture frame and as an accent to the edges of the layers. The round die is from Spellbinders Majestic Elements, Majestic Circles. The wording has been die cut from Cheery Lynn dies. The ribbon is from my collection. Have a great day all 🙂 Hugs Annie xx
Good Morning Each and Everyone
I know……….I’m sorry, I haven’t been around for a while, there are very many things outside of crafting keeping me occupied just at the moment. Anyway, I wanted to share this card which I made for my friend’s birthday last week. Hope you like it!
This card measures 20×20, the backing paper is from Maja Design and the cardstock is from my own collection and mostly bought from Papermill Direct. The rose swirls around the edge of the card are cut from Tonic’s Deco Frame Rose Die Set. The central topper is layered on a complete frame from the same set, Tonic Rose set. The next layer is the largest die from Spellbinders Blossom Five, I cut one in patterned paper and the other in plain white card, then layered the patterned paper behind the white layer, so there was a pretty little shadow behind the white layer to make it more attractive. I did the same with another slightly smaller die from the same set. The next layer is from Marianne Creatables, Petra’s Large Oval, I typed my own sentiment and then cut it out using a die from Creative Expressions, Californian Collection, Decorative Frames (Set B). The flowers are cut from Marianne Creatables, English Rose and Flower & Leaves die and the leaves are from Memory Box Lorelai Leaf. I finished this card off by drizzling and then sticking a string of pearls over and round the flowers. The ribbons and pearl are from my own supplies. Take care folks! Hugs Annie xx
Good Afternoon All, I hope you are enjoying the sunshine after the heavy showers earlier today! The card I am going to submit to my blog today is a commissioned card. I originally made this card, a long time ago, in lilac and white. I was asked to produce it for a Golden Wedding Anniversary Card, so voila!
The card is 20cmx20cm. The papers are from First Edition, J’Adore. The large circle die is Spellbinders Grand Decorative Circles One and I have filled this in by cutting a circle with Spellbinders Grand Circles and then made a frame in gold using 2 dies from the Grand Circles range. The lattice strip is punched from Garden Trellis by Martha Stewart. The gold circle is die cut from Spellbinders Splendid Circles. The bird and bird cage stamp is by Kanban, I stamped the love birds and bird cage using Memento “Potters Clay” but very quickly embossed the birds only with gold embossing powder to make them stand out and look important! The flowers are Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms and the leaves beneath these flowers are a mixture of Crealies Die Cut leaves and Martha Stewart’s Branch punch. The leaves beneath the sentiment are Cheery Lynn and the tag the sentiment is sitting on is from Spellbinders Vintage Lace Accents. I typed the sentiment myself and cut it out with a die from Spellbinders Nestabilities, Circles. The ribbon and pearls are from my own collection. Hoping you have a lovely evening everybody, hugs Annie xx
