Hi everyone! Well I have spent most of the day in Romford today as I needed to go and have some blood tests and there was a very long wait. Seeing all those people at the hospital makes you count your blessings and realise just how fortunate you are. Without our health we have nothing and we should all be so grateful for that but it is so easy to take it all for granted and we all do. Anyway, I am pleased to bring you some altered art today, I really hope you enjoy it!
The paper I have used for this project is Magnolia Vintage Birds and I made the gift bag using 2 sheets. For decoration I punched a border/strip using the Scroll Pattern Edger Punch from EK Success. The flower is made up using a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts and mounted on some mulberry petals from my craft stash and further mounted onto a flower shape cut using Martha Stewart Chrysanthemum punch. The leaves behind the flower are Memory Box Fresh Foliage, the Swirl is a Magnolia die and the white sprig is cut from Marianne Lavender die. I have cut a butterfly from Cheery Lynn Small Exotic Butterflies die and mounted it on the border/strip. The matching gift tag which is tied to the ribbon handle of the gift bag is again made using Marianne Craftables Rectangles. Finally, the picture frame was bought from Ebay and was plain white. I have used the same paper and covered the frame, then decorated round the photograph in the middle using the rectangular die(I cut out two of these and cut them in half so that it was large enough to surround the glass). I have put small white flatback pearls all round the inner edge of the rectangle so that you don’t see the cut edge. Once again, I have used roses from Wild Orchid Crafts and petals from my stash. The leaves, swirl and butterflies again are identical to those used for the bag, the only addition here is the Crystal Picks which are in the shape of clear leaves, these were from my own craft collection. Hoping you like my project. Bye for now, Annie x
