Hello All! Well the fields are all wet and although I did put my horses out in their paddocks this morning whilst I got their stables mucked out and tidy, I have to say, they were not very impressed. They couldn’t wait to get back in their “houses” in the warm, with a nice heap of hay to munch their way through. Well given the choice, I know I would rather be in my craft room crafting, rather than outside in the damp air!!
Today’s entry is a 20cm x 20cm card which I made for my nephew’s 18th birthday. Men’s cards can be difficult and generally it’s preferred that they are a little more simple so flowers, beads and bling generally are forgotten. For this card I have used paper from g.c.d Studios – Paris Nights, other coloured card and the ribbon are from my own collection. The edging beneath the ribbon is made using the EK Success Fleur de Lis punch. The centre uses Spellbinders Gold Ivy dies. I cut my “18” from Memory Box Number Dies and mounted them on a Spellbinders Lacey Circle which I embossed with my Spellbinders M-Bossabilities EG-002 embossing folder. I have framed the mat and layer in the centre of the card by using a corner punch made by EK Success, I also ran these corners through the same Spellbinders embossing folder to add a bit more interest. Take care all, hugs Annie
