Eleven Roses

Good Morning Everyone!  Well, yes, it is sometime since I have posted a card here on my blog.  There have been a few major changes in my life, the most significant one, being that I have moved to Devon.  Hence, I haven’t been card making for a while.  I am now very pleased to tell you that I have been invited onto Crafty Devils Design Team.  I can’t tell you how delighted I am!  Crafty Devils is based in Barnstaple, Devon.  I have been shopping there for many years, during my holiday excursions from my former base in Essex, I have always loved the shop so I couldn’t be more thrilled than to be making cards for their Facebook Page and website.  I have pleasure in sharing the first card with you.

11 roses card 006 (1000x750)

The base card is cut from white cardstock and measures 20cm x 20cm. The next layer (pretty paper) is 19.5cm x 19.5cm. The “crossover sides” are made by cutting a 20cm x 20cm square of white cardstock in half diagonally and then layered with pretty paper. White lace has been glued along the edges of the diagonals before sticking them onto the card. I was careful to only glue along the very edges of my panels so that I could slide in my “insert”. Across the centre I cut a “band” from white cardstock which measures 20cm x 4cm and then layered it with pretty paper at 19.5cm x 3.5cm.  I then put white lace across the centre of this band and pleated ribbon across the top of it.  I have used a Marianne die,  Anja’s Vintage Frame, which I cut from white cardstock, cut in half and placed behind the band before I stuck it across the middle of the card.  The “insert” is cut from white card and measures 13cm x 13cm, this is then layered with pretty paper, cut to 12.5cm x 12.5cm.  I have used Marianne’s Doily Square for the centre and I have placed my sentiment on top of it.  This was die cut using Spellbinders Circle die, 7cms.  I have pleated ribbon across the top and added a loop behind it.  The flowers are from my own crafty stash.  The leaves are cut from Cheery Lynn Rose Leaf Strip and the white swirls seen amongst the flowers are cut from Doohickey’s Heart Swirl.  The ribbon, lace and pearl cabochon are from my own crafty stash.

If you wish to pop along to Crafty Devils website for a look round or to buy some products, their address is www.craftydevilspapercraft.co.uk  They can also be found on Facebook!  Hugs for now, see you soon! Annie x
