Full Steam Ahead

A bright and sunny good afternoon to you all.  I have been asked by one of my ladies, Pam, if I can provide a card pack containing elements to make a card for a gentleman who will be 70 years old and likes trains.  In order to make up a card kit and provide instructions on how to make it, I need to make a card myself so that I know exactly what to include in the pack (guess you are all thinking “she’s stating the obvious” – yep!)  OK, so this is the card I have made guys :-

This card is a twisted easel measuring 8″x8″.  I have used paper from Papermania for the backgrounds.  The cardstock and ribbon are from my own collection.  The small leaves are punched from Martha Stewart, Five-Leaf Branch punch, the larger leafy flourish is Victorian Flourish by Cheery Lynn.  The borders are cut from the EK Success Scroll Pattern Large Edger Punch, the sentiment is stamped onto Spellbinders Circles and layered onto Spellbinders Eyelet Circles, “70” is cut from a Memory Box die and mounted on the same die cuts as the sentiment.  The train is sitting on the largest die from Spellbinders Exquisite Circles.  See you all very soon!  Take good care.  Hugs Annie xx

  1. A lovely card Annie, I bet Pam loves it!
Hubby and I love steam trains so its certainly a winner with me. We have the North Yorks railway (heartbeat country) on our doorstep and spend many happy hours with pic-nic on the moors watching the steam trains pass through :o))
