Barking Mad

This is the second post from me today.  I am having a bit of a Man Card afternoon and decided to show just a few of the cards I have made for this tricky category, this one was made last year for one of my friends’ husband’s 60th birthday.  No disrespect to you chaps out there, it is a pleasure to make a card for you but as card makers we have to temper the adornments a little and use a bit of imagination to produce something that you will enjoy receiving – it tests our ability as a card maker and you men keep us on our toes!! Hee hee!

So for this 8″x8″ card I have used card from my own stash.  The paper is from First Edition – Up, Up & Away.  The background is Spellbinders Fancy Lattice.  The green leaves are cut from Memory Box Lorelai Leaf and Lorelai Outline Leaf.  The brown sprigs at the top of the card are also Memory Box  – Chloe Stem, finally, the blue sprig is  Memory Box, Flutter Vine.  I have added a few birds which I punched from a Martha Stewart punch.  The sentiment was typed and I have trimmed it into a thin strip and snipped the ends.  I have dabbed a tiny amount of glitter glue on some of the foliage.  See you soon, hugs Annie  xx

  1. These are all really lovely. I share your 'struggle' to produce masculine cards! I always want to use a bit of ribbon, glitter, flowers, lace and yet I can't because it then turns into a feminine card. LOL You did a great job and I'm sure your husband's friend enjoyed it.

Hi! Glad you stopped by, please leave me a comment and come back soon! Hugs Annie xx
