Good Afternoon Everybody! How is your day? I have another Christmas Card to share with you today, this will be for the crafty ladies this week. Are you getting into Christmas yet?
In order to show you this card properly, you will see that I have posted 4 views. This card measures 15cm x 15cm. I have used 2 base cards and stuck them together for form one “long” card but which can be folded into a “book” but opened and sat on your mantelpiece in a “triangle” which then gives 2 faces/fronts to the card. The brown layers are 14cm x 14cm, the pretty paper, which is Magnolia, “Something Old Something New” is layered at 13.5cmx13.5cm. I have used the same dies to mat and layer up the fronts and the centre of the card, in order, the brown circle is the smallest circle from Spellbinders Decorative Circles One, the next layer is from Tattered Lace Elegance Collection, Chelsea. I have then cut a round brown layer using a CraftsToo punch, which is approximately 9cm in diameter. The Christmas tree on one of the fronts is by Tonic and it’s their Rococo Christmas Tree. The Merry Christmas wording on the other card front is from Cheery Lynn but I have cut off the little snowflake which was part of the die and attached to the M and C. The holly leaves are by Creative Expressions, Sue Wilson’s Festive Collection, Holly Sprays, (the smaller ones). The Poinsettia is also from Creative Expressions, Sue Wilson’s Festive Collection, Mosaic Poinsettia, I have just used the small flower. The gems I have used on the tree, poinsettia and holly are from my own collection. I typed my own sentiment and then cut it out using a smaller CraftsToo punch, which is 7.5cms in diameter. The Winter Wishes which is placed on both of the inside panels of the card is from Tonic’s Christmas Wishes Header Fold Die Set. Hope you like it! See you soon, hugs for now, Annie xx
Good Morning! Hope today is a good day for you all! The card I have for you today is my first Christmas Card of 2014. I have been asked by one of my groups of ladies, if we can make some and, if they could be 15cm x 15cm please!! (I find this a little tricky as I am so very used to filling my 20cm x 20cm large cards with embellishments, so it’s a challenge for me to make smaller cards and use fewer adornments). Anyway everyone, here goes!!
So as I mentioned, this card is 15cm x 15cm. I folded the front of the base card back on itself to make an easel card, except this card is constructed on its side instead. The matting and layering is decreased in 5mm increments. The first layer of the “band” across the centre of the front and back of the card (blue) is 6.5cm x 14cm, the white layer is 6cm x 13.5cm and the pretty layer is 5.5cmx13.5cm. For the border I used an EK Success Deep Edger Punch, Snowflake and popped a gem in the centre of each one. The sentiment is by Creative Expressions, designed by Sue Wilson and reads “Let It Snow”. The snowflakes are Joycraft Winter Wishes Snowflake. I typed the sentiment and when printed out, I used Spellbinders Snowflakes View Die to cut it out. I then cut a further two of these in silver Mirri card and matted them underneath the white sentiment to give interest. The plain card is from Papermill, the pretty paper is by First Edition from the Silent Night Premium Paper Pad. The gems are from my own stash. Hope you like it ladies and gents!!! Let me know. I will be back again soon, I have another small Christmas Card which is almost finished! Hugs for now, Annie xx
Morning Folks! Well, I am trying to make a few Christmas cards this weekend as some of my ladies have asked to do them. It is a little difficult getting into Christmas mode but I am sure it won’t take long! In the meantime, I have this card which is for another group of ladies who will be coming this week and don’t want to make Christmas cards!!!
This card measures 20cmx20cm. The paper is from an 8″x8″ pad manufactured by g.c.d., called Ella Blue. It is one of my favourites I have to admit, I love the blue and brown tones. The layers become smaller by 5mm each time, the largest on the base layer being 18cmx18cm. The central layer starts at 11cmx11cm and the 3 layers reduce at the same rate, 5mm each time. I have flanked the central layer with Creative Expressions Lattice Heart Striplet, which I have cut to size. The sentiment is stamped onto a Spellbinders Scalloped Oval and I have “hugged” this using Memory Box Tiffany Frame. Underneath this I have cut three Spellbinders Labels 20, one in blue the other two in brown. I have cut and layered the brown ones behind the blue in a drop shadow effect to add interest and dimension. The leaves are Cheery Lynn Pine Branches and also the leaves which accompany Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms. The flowers are Heartfelt Creations Arianna, the matching die and stamp set. I have used the stamens from this die set too and set them in the middle of each of the flowers. The lace is from a local store and the ribbons and pearls are from my own collection. Have a great weekend everyone, see you shortly! Hugs Annie xx
Good Afternoon Everyone! Here we are again, Friday! I am hoping that you have something lovely to do over the weekend! Today’s card is one that my crafty ladies made a couple of weeks ago now but I hadn’t got round to putting it on my blog, I am slacking!! Hope you like this little number!
The card measures 23.5cms x 18.5cms. The mat and layers are in 5mm intervals and I have used cardstock from Papermill and paper from Maya Design. The cream central layer is 17.5 x 12.5 and again, I have matted and layered this then topped it off with Spellbinders Card Creator 5, Mystical Embrace. In fact, I cut out two of these frames out, cut off the corners of the second one and tucked them under the cream layer, in each corner, you can just see them peeping through. The flowers are Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters, die and stamp set. The leaves are Cheery Lynn Flourish Leaf Strip and the little birdie is Marianne Creatables, Bird on Branch die. The pearls and ribbon are all from my own collection. Be back again soon! Hugs Annie xx
Good Morning Everyone, let’s hope that the weekend is bringing you some relaxation with those you hold dear! I have something a little different to bring you today……… let me know if you like it!
The hat stands about 12cms tall, including the flower on the top. The width of the brim is 14cms and the width of the central part of the hat is 8cms across, so it is not an overly large hat. To make the brim, I used two Spellbinders Circles dies, almost as if I was making a frame (putting the smaller one inside the larger one before cutting – it looked like a massive Polo!!). I cut one in card and one in Maya Design Paper and glued them together. For the central part, I used a full length of A4 but I cut the width to 10cms, I then drew a pencil line 2cms in from the edge and also scored a fold at the same point. I then cut zig-zags into the 2cms to the pencil line on the bottom so that I could glue it to the brim. Before glueing, I added my pretty paper (which was the full A4 length but 8cms wide). For the top, I cut 2 larger circles than I actually needed (one in card, the other in the Maya pretty paper), using a Spellbinder die. I stuck them together then drew round a smaller Spellbinder die which was the correct size to fit into the top of the central part of the hat. I then cut zig-zags from the edge of the circle to the pencil line so that I could fold them over and glue it in position to make the top. I then glued the brim of the hat onto one of the large circle dies from Spellbinders Grand Circles. The pretty band round the base of the central part of the hat is Tattered Lace Sparkle Border. I typed a sentiment, printed it out and then cut it using Doohickey Fairytale Tag, Prince & Princesses. The flowers are Heartfelt Creations Vintage Floret Die and Stamp set, I have painted these with Ranger Distress Inks. The leaves are Creative Expressions, Finishing Touches Die, Fern (small). The white loopy die cuts which can be seen around the large rose on the top of the hat is Memory Box, Elegant Scrollwork. The ribbons and pearls are from my own collection. That’s it chaps and chapesses! See you again soon! Hugs Annie xx
Good Evening Everyone! Well, the end of another week and a weekend is just about to begin, I do hope you are doing something nice! The card which I am going to show you was done by my ladies today.
The card measures 20cm x 20cm. The paper I have used is Maja Design and the cardstock is from Papermill. The floral corners are from Tattered Lace, Venetian Border & Accent and the swirls are from Memory Box, Whimsy Circle. I have layered up the centre topper by using the outer die from Tattered Lace Chelsea Collection. You can’t actually see this as it provides the base for my flowers, a little like a wreath. The next die which I have cut in green is from Spellbinders Stately Circles, as is the white die which displays the sentiment but I have placed a plain white circle behind this, cut from Spellbinders Circles. The flowers are Heartfelt Creations Die and Stamp Set Daisy Patch. The leaves which I have placed behind the flowers are cut from Cheery Lynn Olive Branches. The organza and silk ribbon is from my own collection as are the pearls. See you again before very long! Hugs Annie xx
Hi Peeps, hoping all is well in your worlds. I have had a lovely day creating this card for this week’s groups. See what you think…..
This card measures 19cm x 19cm. The papers are Docrafts Parisienne Blue. The lacy outer frame which I have used on the outside of the card and for the central topper is Spellbinders Card Creator, Reflective Moment. The central topper is layered up using firstly one of the oblong dies from Radiant Rectangles, followed by Marianne Creatables Frame and Swirls. I then stamped the sentiment onto a long oval, also from Radiant Rectangles. The flowers are created using Heartfelt Creations Vintage Floret dies and stamps. The swirly leaves have been cut from Marianne Creatables Forest Branch. I die cut 2 D-Lite Flourishes, one in white and the other in dark blue card and used part of it to make a drop shadow using the blue one behind the white, this can be seen above the bow. As I didn’t use all of the die cut, I snipped off a couple of the swirls which I then placed just above the larger central rose. The cardstock, pearls and ribbon are from my own collection. Best wishes all! Hugs Annie xx
